Team Sports Apparel Can An Office Only Allow You To Wear Apparel From A Certain Sports Team?

Can an office only allow you to wear apparel from a certain sports team? - team sports apparel

The office is casual days to 2 days, they tell us to only official Brewers gear. My question is: Is this legal? Is not this damaging? I understand that the sport is a simple question, but there are arguments that the sport is the new tribalism, and prefer to limit only for the Casual Day, which is a particular worldview is inherently one-sided.

Thoughts? The precedents? Without doubt, crazy sports fans must have had his residence in the court at one time or another ...

This is not a protected class under anti-discrimination laws. (eg clothing). I wonder, however, represented the position, but must not wear clothing Brewers official. "I guess that means that if the camera can use Brewers team. Unless the employer provides the equipment Brewers to all employees or office (as such is a non-reimbursed employee expense deduction) taxes, then I think we can we do not make the whole problem with the computer art.

The EEOC has not protected ranking of "equipment". This is not affected.

This supports a team and a city. Consequences or not.

Thoughts? I suspect most people in town to support the local team and have great difficulties in their lives, as a potential problem in martial arts every day. I worked in the bucket "Dilbert Hell" for 5 years and in a big city. Just do it.

This is a prejudice, but remember that prejudice or discrimination at work only for certain things is illegal (sex, race, religion, etc..) Sports equipment is not a protected class. The office did not say you can take things from other sports teams if they want (even if it seems ridiculous and stupid to me).

Some offices have the right to say what is acceptable to wear in the office. Some companies do not allow facial hair, earrings or piercings, tattoos or other visible.

This is the "right" to which the owner has in his office, what they want when it comes to clothing and appearance. Otherwise it may appear on some of the clothes would not be acceptable for the office.

Is it legal for them to decide what is not acceptable to use for the employees. Casual Day is a privilege, not a right. At each office, they know they have a casual dress code. No court would have the right to someone who will not "have to find dress up the sport with a selection of clothes as comprehensive as usual on that day is always an option. Many jobs that you buy your own clothes to work and must meet a standard. Go to any restraunts? Most of them purchase a certain kind of pants and t-shirts to work. "The company did not pay either. I personally think that dressing is like any other day for two days in order to be played a little bit about yourself, not a "team player" as it looks, if she could hit that decision.
